Meeting Description:

We are happy to announce that the 15th Cambridge Italian Dialect
Syntax-Morphology Meeting will take place in the Department of Languages of
the University of Helsinki on 03–05 June 2020. The meeting aims to bring
together dialectologists working on any aspect of the syntax and/or morphology
of the dialects of Italy (including non-Romance varieties) and encourages all
approaches – whether synchronic or diachronic, descriptive or theoretical (all
frameworks) – to the regional languages and dialects spoken throughout Italy.

The languages of the meeting are Italian and English.

The invited speakers of CIDSM15 are:
– Jan Casalicchio, University of Palermo
– Giuliana Giusti, Ca' Foscari University of Venice
– Nigel Vincent, The University of Manchester


Call for Papers:

Abstracts on any aspect of the syntax and/or morphology of the dialects of
Italy (including non-Romance varieties) will be considered for presentation.

Selected speakers will have 20 minutes to present their papers (plus 10 for
questions). Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per
author, or 2 joint abstracts per author. The abstract should include the
title, but not the author’s name(s). Abstracts should be no longer than two
pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point font size.

The conference languages are Italian and English.

Deadline:

Abstracts must be submitted no later than 20 January 2020.
Authors will be notified of the results of their abstract review by 24
February 2020.
