Full Title: LL Journal

Linguistic Field(s): Anthropological Linguistics; Applied Linguistics; Discipline of Linguistics; Discourse Analysis; Pragmatics; Sociolinguistics

Call Deadline: 14-Oct-2019

We accept unpublished papers in the fields of literature, visual arts and
sociolinguistics. All submissions are welcome, especially those from an
interdisciplinary perspective, to reflect on the various means of exercising
and legitimizing POWER. This includes studies on its impact on the
subjectivities, uses and abuses of violence, the ways in which it builds
discourses and versions of history, as well as various narratives that are
massified by the mass media mainly through social networks.

We invite you to explore this concept as a real and concrete device, capable
of creating social imaginaries and prac- tices that respond to certain
previously conceived interests. By deconstructing power, the LL Journal aims
to approach its application, dynamics and consequences, particularly in the
current political and social environments.

All submissions should engage with the Latin American, Iberian and Latinx
realms. Papers can be submitted either in Spanish, Portuguese or English and
should follow the last MLA citation rules. Creative writing, translations and
visual work are also accepted as a part of the journal, preferably about the
themes described above.

The deadline for submissions is October 14, 2019.
Papers should not exceed 30 pages. Please follow the guidelines for submission
available in our webpage: https://lljournal.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
