Meeting Description: 

The Center for Language, Interaction, and Culture Graduate Student Association
(CLIC GSA) at UCLA is a student organization that promotes interdisciplinary
work at the intersections of language, culture, and conversational activities.
CLIC GSA hosts an annual conference in conjunction with the UC Santa Barbara
Language, Interaction, and Social Organization (LISO) graduate student
association.  

The 26th Annual Conference on Language Interaction, and Culture will be hosted
at UCLA on April 23-25, 2020. The theme for 2020 is “Access and Engagement:
Mechanisms of Social (In)equality.” Plenary speakers this year includes Dr.
Ananda Marin (UCLA, Education), Dr. Justin Richland (UC-Irvine, Anthropology),
and Dr. Stephanie Hyeri Kim (CSUN, Linguistics).

There will also be two workshops offered to attendees: One entitled, “Reading,
Researching and Analyzing Records and Files,” lead by Dr. Justin Richland, and
one entitled, “Getting Into Print:  How to Transform Drafts Into
Publications,” lead by Drs. Steven Clayman & Giovanni Rossi (UCLA, Sociology).
 

Registration is now open for the 26th Annual Student Conference on Language
Interaction, and Culture, hosted at UCLA on April 23-25, 2020! All are welcome
to attend!

The theme for this year is “Access and Engagement: Mechanisms of Social
(In)equality.” We are excited to have Dr. Ananda Marin (UCLA, Education), Dr.
Justin Richland (UC-Irvine, Anthropology), and Dr. Stephanie Hyeri Kim (CSUN,
Linguistics) as this year's plenary speakers.
