Description:

The Department of English and American Studies at Universität Kassel, Germany,
invites applications for the following position (reference number 32957):

Research assistant (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter, half-time position, E13
TV-H 50%), for three years, with an option on extension for two additional
years, starting April 16, 2020.

Specifications: Applicants should hold an MA (or equivalent degree) in English
or General Linguistics. Advanced skills in English and German are necessary.

Preference will be given to candidates whose academic interest lies in the
fields of theoretical linguistics and / or psycholinguistics, with a focus on
semantic-pragmatic or lexical research questions.

The successful applicant will be expected to complete a dissertation in one of
the above research areas. The post involves teaching linguistics courses (2
SWS per week) in the BA / MA programs of the English department. Language of
instruction is English.
