Meeting Description:

Organized by the journal Studies of the Chinese Language (Zhongguo Yuwen) at
the Institute of Linguistics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, in
connection with the Capital Normal University, the 4th International
Conference on Interactional Linguistics and Chinese Language Studies will be
held on 18-19 August 2020 at the Capital Normal University, Beijing, China.


Second Call for Papers:

Please pay attention to the change of Submission deadline and Notification of
acceptance.

Interactional Linguistics is one of the most rapidly-growing research areas in
the contemporary linguistic circle over recent years.

The upcoming conference will hold discussion over the following issues:
1) Online production and its interpretation mechanism;
2) Sensitive positions within turns and sequences and their discourse
functions;
3) Stance-taking in interaction;
4) Prosody and multimodality in interaction.

The working languages of the conference are Chinese and English.

After the conference, some conference papers will be selected for the Studies
of the Chinese Language Series, Interactional Linguistics and Chinese Language
Studies, Volume 4.
Participants of the conference should submit two copies of abstract for
anonymous peer review, with one being anonymous and the other including the
name, institutional affiliation and email address of the author(s). The main
body of the abstract should be in SimSun, size 12; and the title in SimSun,
size 16. All abstracts should be limited to a single A4 page.
