Meeting Description:

The Philippine Linguistics Congress is an international conference that
focuses on current advances in the scientific study of language, which may be
in the realm of theoretical or applied linguistics, as well as on the
application of linguistic theory to other fields of study done in the context
of the Philippines. The conference provides a venue for researchers to share
their studies on various linguistic phenomena and language issues in the
Philippines, and comparative studies between Philippine languages and other
foreign languages to promote deeper understanding of these languages and
explore possible implications for language learning, translation, and
cross-cultural communication.


Call for Papers:

We are accepting abstracts for 20-minute oral presentations (plus 10 minutes
for open forum). A poster session may be added to the program after evaluating
submissions. Abstracts dealing with theoretical, applied, or experimental
linguistic study on any Philippine languages are invited for presentation.

Submission Guidelines:

- Abstracts may be in English or Filipino.
- A maximum of three (3) abstracts may be submitted (whether as a sole author
or co-author)
- Maximum 500 words for the body of the abstract
- Name of the proponent must not appear in the abstract
- Email the abstract/s to lingg at kssp.upd.edu.ph with the following information
in the message body: (1) Full name, (2) Affiliation, (3) Contact information
- The email must bear the subject heading: [14PLC] Abstract Submission

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 30 April 2020
Notification of acceptance: May 2020
