Salary:  
Appointment will be made on the Lecturer salary scale at a point in line with
Government Pay Policy [€34,813 to €84,556 per annum], appointment will be made
no higher than point 8 [i.e. €49,422]

Hours of Work: 
Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service
Agreements.

Interviews are expected to take place in April 2020.
*This position is a Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first
instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.
The successful applicant will be expected to take up post on 1 September 2020

sought in respect of individuals who come under consideration for a post 

Post Summary:

The School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences wishes to appoint
an Assistant Professor (equivalent to Lecturer) in Applied Linguistics (TESOL)
with expertise in second language pedagogy, classroom-based research and
teaching methodologies. The person appointed will contribute to undergraduate
and postgraduate teaching in the Centre for Language and Communication Studies
(CLCS). The successful candidate will be expected to teach on the CLCS M.Phil.
programmes and to supervise postgraduate research at M.Phil. and Ph.D. level.
She or he will increase Trinity College’s research strength in Applied
Linguistics, TESOL and English Language Teaching.  Information about the
