Meeting Description:

1st International Students' Conference, ''The Many Faces of Translation and
Interpreting'', to be held in Krosno, Poland

Organised by: 
Stanisław Pigoń State College in Krosno
Rynek 1
38-400 Krosno, Poland

The objective of the conference is to foster collaboration among students from
Poland and abroad. Students are invited to present research in progress or
results in the fields of translation and interpreting.

The organizers of the conference welcome presentations on the subjects
especially related to:
- general issues concerning translation and interpreting studies
- specialized translation
- simultaneous interpreting
- consecutive interpreting
- community interpreting
- audiovisual translation
- literary translation
- technologies in translation and interpreting
- terminological, grammatical and stylistic aspects of
translation/interpreting
- localization

We welcome submissions from:
- BA students
- MA students
- PhD students

Conference languages: English and Polish.

Conference Fees and Deadlines: 
Abstract submission deadline: 30 March 2020.
Conference fee: 200 PLN (46 EUR)
Reduced fee for online presentations: 100 PLN (23 EUR)

The conference fee covers: participation in the sessions and conference
materials, coffee breaks, conference lunch, a trip to the local chocolate
factory (with chocolate tasting), and publication of the proceedings. The
organizers do not provide accommodation but are willing to help you find it.

Call for Papers: 

Papers should not exceed 15 minutes in presentation. 
Online presentations are also welcome.

Positively reviewed papers will be published in a conference proceedings
volume.

Paper proposals with abstracts (100-150 words) should be sent to the
conference email address: studentsconference.krosno2020 at gmail.com
