Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce a two-day International Conference on English
Linguistics from Oct 16 (Fri) to 17 (Sat) at Kyung Hee University, Seoul,
Korea. The conference is hosted by the Korean Association for the Study of
English Language and Linguistics (KASELL), co-hosted by the English
Linguistics Society of Korea (ELSOK) and the Korean Society of Language and
Information (KSLI), and sponsored by the World English Linguistics Association
(WELA). 

Important Dates
 - May 30: Deadline of abstract submission 
 - June 30: Notification of acceptance
 - Aug 15: Registration 
 - October 16 ~ 17 (Fri ~ Sat): Conference

Call for Papers:

We welcome abstracts for oral presentation (25-minute talk and 5-minute
discussion) or poster presentation. Abstracts should be anonymous and no
longer than two pages in the PDF format, including examples and references,
with margins of at least 1 inch in 12-point type. On the second line of the
abstract, provide the type of presentation (oral or poster) and area of
research (syntax, semantics, pragmatics, etc.). We actively encourage students
to submit their abstracts to the poster session. If they get a chance to make
a poster presentation, the registration fee will be waivered. 

We welcome abstracts for presentation on any aspect of English linguistics and
education in the field of (but not limited to) syntax, semantics, pragmatics,
discourse analysis, phonology, phonetics, language acquisition, English
learning, teaching, and education, corpus linguistics, computational
linguistics, and sociolinguistics.

Selected papers from the conference presentations will be published in a
special issue of Linguistic Research, indexed by Elsevier – SCOPUS; Thomson
