Subject: Increasing use of 'get' in the English language over time

 
Has anyone done any research into the use of 'get' as a semi-auxiliary, as in
"She got bored', 'He got excited', "We got robbed" etc, I can't think of
instances in Shakespeare, though I may be wrong, so I wonder how and when the
usage came into the language? How would you go about using a concordance to
answer this question?
