Meeting Description:

J-SLA 2020 is an anniversary conference to celebrate the 20th year since the
founding of our association. It will be an international conference held in
Shizuoka, where the inaugural conference took place, and will span three days
(one day longer than our regular annual conference), with two
internationally-renowned plenary speakers. Please join us to discuss cutting
edge research whilst admiring the fantastic views Shizuoka has to offer, such
as the blue and white of nearby Mt. Fuji towering high in the sky.

Invited Speakers: Lydia White (McGill University) and Robert M. DeKeyser
(University of Maryland)


Call for Papers: 

Deadline for receipt of abstracts: March 31, 2020, 11:59 pm (Japan Standard
Time)

J-SLA 2020 (20th Annual Conference of the Japan Second Language Association)
invites applications for oral presentations, poster presentations, and oral
presentations at the Student Workshop. 

Abstracts are invited for oral or poster presentations on any theoretical or
empirical area of research in second language acquisition (SLA). Specific
application procedures and requirements can be found at

Notification of acceptance (revised): By May 11, 2020 

Duration of oral presentations: 
Oral presentation of papers will be allotted 30 minutes (20 minutes for
presentation, followed by 10 minutes for discussion).

Language of presentation: Either English or Japanese
