The Slavic Department of the University of Potsdam is pleased to announce the
Fifth International Symposium Russian Grammar: Language System - Language
Usage - Language Variation - Русская грамматика: Система - узус - языковое
варьирование
The symposium will take place September 23-25, 2020 at the University of
Potsdam, Campus Am Neuen Palais.

The symposium is co-organized in cooperation with the International
Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature ''MAPRYAL'',
Russian Society of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature ROPRYAL,
Institute of Russsian Language named after V.V. Vinogradov Russian Academy of
Science, Moscow, State Institute of the Russian Language named after A.S.
Pushkin, Moscow, State University Sankt Petersburg and Yaroslavl State
Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky.

Call for Papers: 

Abstracts are invited for 30-minute talks (20-minute presentation plus 10
minutes for discussion) on topics in the linguistic fields and theoretical
approaches, devoted to the following areas:
 - Russian Grammar and Context (Semantics, Syntax and Pragmatics)
 - Problems of Learning Russian grammar
 - Lexical Semantic Aspects of the Description of Grammatical Categories of
the Russian Language
 - Russian Grammar in multilingualism
 - Language Urbanization and Russian Grammar
 - Grammatical Variation in the Russian Language and Language Changes

How to submit Abstracts: 
Abstracts must be anonymous and no longer than one page (margins: 2.5 cm or 1
inch, size of characters: 12 points, Times New Roman, spacing: single). An
additional page for references, figures and data can be also included.
Abstracts should be in PDF format, with all non-standard fonts embedded.
Abstracts should be submitted via EasyChair
(https://easychair.org/account/signin?l=ig4mFfL5jgs3eFLc3gjmDC) by April 30,
2020.  An individual may submit at most one single and one co-authored paper.
Abstract registration deadline: April 15, 2020.

Reviewing procedure: 
The abstracts will be anonymously reviewed by external referees. Authors will
be notified by May 30, 2020 whether their abstract was accepted.

Publication: 
Russian Grammar-2020 proceedings will be published in Potsdam Linguistic
Investigations : Peter Lang Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften Edited
by Peter Kosta, Gerda Haßler, Teodora Radeva-Bork, Lilia Schürcks, Nadine
