Meeting Description:

The workshop aims to provide a venue for researchers to share their work on a
wide range of mismatch in ellipsis phenomena including morphological mismatch,
voice mismatch,  category mismatch, polarity mismatch, type mismatch, etc. in
a variety of ellipsis phenomena such as  VP ellipsis, sluicing, fragment
answers, sprouting, etc., from not only a syntactic and semantic perspective
but also viewpoints from linguistic subfields like pragmatics and language
processing. The ultimate goal of this workshop is to enhance our understanding
of the nature of ellipsis through the awareness of a recent move toward
integrated approaches to ellipsis. We invite proposals about various
mismatches in ellipsis viewed from a variety of perspectives such as syntax,
semantics, pragmatics, language processing, and others.

Call for Papers:

Abstracts should be submitted via Easy Chair (click on the following link):
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=dowmms2020. Abstracts must be
anonymous, in PDF format, 2 pages (A4 or letter), in a font size no less than
12pt, and with margins of 1 inch/2.5cm.

Each speaker of the general session will be allotted 20 minutes followed by 10
minutes for discussion.

Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint abstract
per author.

Abstracts should be submitted no later than March 31, 2020 (KST).
