We currently have a Linguistics position open in Crystal City, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Data analysis, development, maintenance & documentation:
o Analyze data from languages worldwide
o Analyze variation in personal names
o Develop new data and data subsets
o Ensure data quality
o Identify data discrepancies
o Document nature of data, data development procedures
- Analyze writing systems and their romanizations and transliterations
- Support Algorithm development, analysis, maintenance & training for:
o Automatic language/culture/region identification
o Name-checking
o Quality assurance testing

Qualifications:

- MS/PhD in Linguistics
- Preferred: advanced knowledge of a language using a common non-Roman script
such as Arabic/Persian, Chinese, Korean, Cyrillic, etc. 
Must be U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a Secret clearance.
