Description:

The Doctoral Program in “Humanistic Studies - Literary and Philological
Cultures” at the University of Bologna - Department of Classical Philology and
Italian Studies invites international applications for one 3-year doctoral
position reserved to international candidates (i.e., candidates that earned a
second level Master’s degree in a non-Italian institution, independently of
their personal citizenship).

Linguistics is among the disciplines included in the doctoral program for
which it is possible to apply. To see which research areas are covered by

The Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies
(https://ficlit.unibo.it/it) has been selected as a Department of Excellence
in 2018 and has been awarded special funding to foster advanced research and
internationalization for the years 2018-2022. The advertised position is one
of the internationalization measures. The selection procedures (research
project, interview) can be carried out in Italian or in English. The doctoral
dissertation can be written in English; however, most of the activities and
the administration require willingness to acquire a working knowledge of
Italian.

The deadline to submit applications is May 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM (Italian
time).  The selection procedures will take place remotely (using the Teams
platform) in June and July (precise dates here:

res). The position will start on November 1, 2020.
