Description:

The English Department of the Faculty of Science, Humanities and Education of
the Technical University of Liberec is looking for an associate professor or
an assistant professor with a research profile in English morphology (a
combination with other fields of English linguistics is possible and
preferred).

The applicant must:

- have habilitation (doc., dr.hab., dr.habil., dr.phil.habil.,) in a relevant
field (e.g. English Linguistics or General Linguiszics) for the position of
Associate Professor; or hold a Ph.D. for the position of Assistant Professor;
- be engaged in active research about the morphology of the English language;
- show an active interest in raising the research potential of the department.

The position is full-time, for a fixed term, from September 2020 to June 30,
2023, but the contract is renewable subject to regular performance review.

Once employed, the candidate would be primarily responsible for teaching
academic courses on English Morphology for future teachers of English, but the
department also offers a whole range of other subjects in linguistics, e.g.
Phonetics and Phonology, Syntax, Sociolinguistics, Corpus Linguistics, the
Historical Development of English.
