Meeting Description:

Proposals for papers and panels are now being accepted for the 42nd annual
SWPACA conference. One of the nation’s largest interdisciplinary academic
conferences, SWPACA offers nearly 70 subject areas, each typically featuring
multiple panels. For a full list of subject areas, area descriptions, and Area

All proposals must be submitted through the conference’s database at

Call for Papers: 

Papers in all areas of linguistics are being accepted for presentation in the
area of Linguistics at the Southwest Popular Culture Conference (Location:
Virtual) February 22-27, 2021.  

Submissions on the following topics in Applied Linguistics are especially
encouraged:
 - Language Pedagogy
 - Linguistic Landscapes
 - Bilingualism
 - Language in the Media
 - L2 Teaching and Learning
 - Discourse Analysis
 - Language and Gender

Presenters will have 20 minutes to present their paper with 10 minutes for
questions.
