Fully funded PhD position in semantics at the Heinrich Heine University, Duesseldorf (Germany)

Specialty Area: Semantics (related areas are pragmatics, text/corpus linguistics, experimental semantics, computational semantics, philosophy of language and mind)

Description:
The Department of Linguistics, Program in Semantics, at the Heinrich Heine University in Duesseldorf (Germany), has one funded PhD position starting April 1, 2021 until March 31, 2024. The funding is in accordance with the German public service salary scale E13 TV-L, 65%.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have an M.A. or a B.A. degree in linguistics (or a related field) with a background in semantics.. 

The PhD position is funded by the DFG-grant awarded for the project “Individuation of evenets”, PI Hana Filip, external collaborators Jeff Pelletier and Scott Grimm. The DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft--German Research Association) is the main research funding agency in Germany. The Ph.D. student is expected to work closely with a postdoctoral researcher, the P.I. and external collaborators.
