Call Deadline: 07-Dec-2020

Meeting Description:

This online conference looks at practice of and research into Performance in
Education (PIE). The purpose of the conference is to widen the research base
for supporting the use of performance in all aspects of education (teaching,
consolidating teaching, and testing/evaluation) across the curriculum
(medicine, law, history, etc.) and is not limited to English language
education.

Highlights of the conference:-
1. Plenary Speakers - Dr. Rod Ellis and Dawn Kobayashi
2. Research and Practice Presentations
3. Students Showcase
4. Student Film Festival
5. Performances

Performance in Education (PIE) is a part of the Japan Association for Language
Teaching (JALT). The mission of the Performance in Education SIG is to provide
a forum for teachers and academics to discuss, research, and implement oral
interpretation, speech, debate, and drama in language education. The main
activities are creation of a newsletter and sponsoring a National Speech,
Drama, and Debate Contest. Future activities may be the sponsoring of
workshops and conferences, and supporting local and regional speech, drama,
and debate contests or festivals.

Call for Papers:

Deadline: December 7, 2020

The title of the conference is ''Performance in Education: Research and
Practice,'' so presentation submissions should be relevant to the elements of
the title; that is, they should be about performance, education, research, and
practice.

You may submit as many proposals as you like, but because of the particular
system being used, you need to submit them one at a time. We suggest all
people submitting to first write all the personal and presentation details in
a word processing document first, then copy and paste the details into the
online submission form. That way you have a record of your title/s and
abstract/s, and if you submit several proposals, you will not have to re-input
your personal details.

TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS:
 - Short presentation on practice (no time limit)
 - Short presentation on research (no time limit)
 - Poster presentation on practice (no time limit)
 - Poster presentation on research (no time limit)
 - Performance (no time limit)
 - Student Showcase Exhibition & Performances (no time limit)
 - Student Film Festival

Proposals can be submitted via our website:
