Description:

As a senior lecturer, you will work actively on developing the subject’s
fields of education and research. You may also work on applications for
external research funding. Planning and teaching freestanding English courses
is included in this position, though you will primarily work with the
subject’s courses on the various Teacher Education programmes (from the MA in
Primary Education – Pre-School and School Years 1–3 to the MA/Sc in Upper
Secondary Education).

Duties include planning and teaching the English courses on the Teacher
Education programmes, where the main focus is on subject didactics and
teaching that enhances language development. Course development, course
coordination and other duties on the teaching team are important elements of
your work. Collaboration with the surrounding community may also be part of
this position.

Teaching and administration in the subject are primarily conducted in English.
If the successful applicant does not speak Swedish at the time of employment,
we expect them to acquire basic skills so they can conduct some teaching and
administrative work in Swedish. Managerial duties may be included in the
position.
