Subject: The Joshua A. Fishman Award - Award to recognize early-career scholars in the sociology of language

 
De Gruyter Mouton invites self-nominations for the Joshua A. Fishman Award
recognizing outstanding unpublished PhD dissertations on a topic pertaining to
the sociology of language.

The award carries a cash prize of € 1,000 plus a € 100 book voucher. Up to
three awards may be granted. Moreover, award-winning manuscripts will be
recommended for publication in De Gruyter Mouton’s Contributions to the
Sociology of Language (CSL) book series founded by Fishman and publishing
leading research in the sociology of language for over 50 years.
