Meeting Description:

The Twentieth Meeting of the Texas Linguistic Society will take place February
19-20, 2021. The conference will be hosted virtually by the University of
Texas at Austin. The organizers invite papers from all sub-fields of
linguistics. There will be a special session focusing on the role of language
in perpetuating and dismantling social inequality.

This year’s keynote speakers will be Almeida Jaqueline Toribio (University of
Texas at Austin), Jenny L. Davis (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign),
and Jeremy Calder (University of Colorado Boulder). 


Call for Papers: 

Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes for
questions/discussion.  There will also be a poster session.

Abstract guidelines:
Length: 500 words maximum, excluding examples and references.

Format: Include the paper or poster title and the text of the abstract. The
abstract should not include the author’s name, affiliation, or other
identifying information. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.

Deadline for submission: November 15, 2020
Notification: December 18, 2020
