Description:

The University of Zurich has recently established the Linguistic Research
Infrastructure (LiRI) which has been recognized as a University Technology
Platform since the beginning of 2020 (LiRI website: www.liri.uzh.ch/en.html).
The platform seeks to fill the position of a lab technician to manage the LiRI
laboratory.

In this lab, we run a variety of speech, language and brain experiments using
the following techniques amongst others (randomly listed): 
- Acoustic and video recordings of speech 
- Electromagnetic articulography 
- Electroencephalography 
- Eyetracking 
- functional Near-Infrared-Spectroscopy
- Auditory Brainstem Responses
- Ultrasound for articulation studies 
- Electroglottography/Laryngography 
- Pharyngometry
 
Requirements:
- Experience with managing laboratory environments in the area of speech &
brain research (or related) and with as many techniques (or related) as listed
above
- Degree (BA, MA or PhD) in a relevant area is desired but evidence of lab
managing expertise in the relevant techniques is rated more important
- Good command of English and German
- Excellent communication skills
- A related PhD in one of the experimental areas is considered an asset. 
- We strongly aim at gender balance and particularly encourage women to apply.
