Meeting Description:

Since 2016 the Linguistic Summer School Bolivia has organized yearly
linguistics courses in various locations in Bolivia, focusing on a variety of
languages in this highly linguistically diverse country. The courses are
taught by expert researchers working in Bolivia and elsewhere in South
America, and focus on typological, functional, and formal linguistic themes. 

The International Linguistics Colloquium in Bolivia is a bi-annual event. This
year the event will take place online. We take this opportunity to invite
linguists studying any language in the Americas to submit abstracts on general
linguistics topics, including those from any of the following subfields:

Phonetics - Phonology - Morphology - Morphophonology - Syntax - Semantics -
Psycholinguistics - Historical Linguistics - Verbal Art - Language
Documentation
Linguistic Description


Call for Papers: 

Talks will be 20 minutes long with 5 to 7 minutes for questions and
discussion. It is preferred that talks be given in Spanish, but talks may also
be given in English or Portuguese provided that slides and/or handouts have
Spanish translations. 

Abstracts should be no longer than 200 words in length (excluding linguistic
examples and references), and be submitted as a PDF. The abstract content must
be anonymous, and not include the name, email, or affiliation of the
submitter. Abstracts may be sent to linguisticssummerschoolbolivia at gmail.com,
and must be received no later than 23:59 p.m. on June 5, 2021. The text of the
email should include the author’s name, affiliation, the title of the proposed
talk, and the anticipated language of the talk (Spanish/Portuguese/English
with Spanish materials). Abstracts may be submitted in either Spanish or
English. Notification of acceptance will be on or before June 10, 2021.
Acceptance emails will provide details on registration and other
considerations.
