Meeting Description:

The 5th International Conference on Kurdish Linguistics (ICKL-5) will take

Plurilingualism Research Unit.

The ICKL serves as a forum of scientific exchange for linguists working on any
aspect of Kurdish, including the interactions with its neighboring languages.
ICKL is meant to provide an environment for collaboration, and a space to
share ideas big or small.

The ICKL-5 will take place in Graz but depending on the evolution of the
situation with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it might also take the form of a
hybrid or complete digital video conference.

Second Call for Papers:

Due to popular demand, the abstract submission deadline for the 5th
International Conference on Kurdish Linguistics (ICKL-5) has now been extended
to April 20, 2021. The organizing committee hopes that this additional
time will provide more opportunities for participation in this exciting
conference!

As detailed in original the Call for Papers, please submit abstracts online
via the EasyChair site
here: https://easychair.org/account/signin?l=EKzOvthgd9t7PIzJnFWSFd#

The dates of the conference remain unchanged (September 24-25, 2021) and the
organizers will endeavour to return notifications of acceptance by the end of
May.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
-All abstracts will be anonymously peer-reviewed. In order to be eligible for
consideration, abstracts should conform to the following requirements:
-Contributions should contain original research that, at the time of
submission, has neither been published nor accepted for publication.
-Submissions are limited to two abstracts maximum per person: one single and
one co-authored abstract, or two co-authored works.
-Abstracts and talks should be submitted and presented in English.
-To ensure anonymity, abstracts should not reveal the identity of the
author(s) in any way, and should not contain excessive references to the
author’s publications or acknowledgements to granting agencies or academic
bodies.
-Abstracts, including data and references, should not exceed two pages in
length, have 2.5 cm (1 inch) margins on all sides, and be set in Times New

transcriptions or non-ASCII text, please ensure that all fonts are properly
embedded. Anonymized abstracts can be uploaded via easy chair.

All papers presented at the conference will be invited to submit for a
