Meeting Description:

The Linguistics and English Language Postgraduate Conference is an annual
event hosted by the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences at
the University of Edinburgh, and is open to students from all over the world
to participate. The conference offers postgraduate students the opportunity to
present ongoing work and discuss their research with peers and faculty. Papers
relevant to the study of language are welcome. 

This year’s conference will be held from June 10 to June 12, 2021.

With over 20 years' experience, the conference offers a great opportunity to
refine thoughts, share concerns, and receive constructive criticism in a
supportive and convivial environment. It’s a great way to gain experience in
conference presentation and find out about some of the exciting things going
on in the field.

Attending the conference is free.


Second Call for Papers: 

* Deadline extension * 

New Deadline: 25/04/2021, 23:59 GMT

Submissions are invited for oral presentations and poster presentations. Talks
should be 20 minutes and will be followed by 5 minutes of questions.

Submission Guidelines:
- Format: Abstracts should between 300 and 400 words (excluding reference
list). All abstracts must be anonymised, in PDF format (max. 5MB): please do
not include name or affiliation in the abstract. All abstracts must be
submitted by 23:59 on Sunday, 25 April, 2021 through the portal on the website
(https://pgc.lel.ed.ac.uk/).
- Co-authoring: If you would like to present a talk or a poster with one or
more co-author(s), only one of you should submit the abstract and notify us of
the co-author(s) if the presentation is accepted.
- Submission of multiple works: Authors may submit one abstract as first
author and one abstract as co-author.
