Linguistic Field(s): Applied Linguistics; Clinical Linguistics; Language Acquisition
Call Deadline: 30-Jan-2022
Meeting Description:
The main topic of this workshop is twofold: (i) the description and analysis
of data from the field of language acquisition and (ii) the application of
linguistic concepts and theories to the study of language disorders. Speech
and language can appear to be atypical (or disordered, dysfunctional) due to
genetic, developmental and other possible factors.
The workshop invites submissions of papers and/or posters in any area of L1,
AL and bilingual acquisition in both typical and atypical conditions. We are
especially interested in research that deals with, but not limited to:
a) Language processing in clinical conditions.
b) Analysis of linguistic corpora of typical vs. atypical populations.
c) Experimental approaches to language acquisition in clinical conditions.
We aim at building a productive dialog among researchers working in clinical
linguistics from a theoretical and/or applied perspective.
Call for Papers:
Authors are asked to submit their abstracts in an anonymous PDF file
Abstracts should be written in English and not exceed one page of text (A4),
in a 12pt font, single line spacing and 2.5 cm margins. In addition,
references, examples and/or figures can optionally be included on a second
page.
