Description:

Sensory, Inc. is seeking an organized, detail-oriented individual to
contribute to audio and video collections which support speech, vision, and
emerging technologies. A good candidate will be adaptable, able to work
independently, eager and able to learn new tools and technologies, and capable
of managing many projects simultaneously, often under aggressive schedules. At
Sensory, we pride ourselves with developing highly efficient hybrid on-device
(embedded) and cloud based vision and speech technologies
that perform at state-of-the-art levels while protecting the privacy of our
end-users.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 - Develop scripts to capture, process, and manage audio and text data from
internet sources
 - Maintain web-based and stand-alone tools used to collect, transcribe, and
annotate audio data
 - Drive innovation in data collection practices by helping the team find,
implement, and/or develop new tools to aid in data collection and sourcing
efforts
 - Collaborate with team members to implement best practices surrounding data
collection and quality checks
 - Work directly with researchers and engineers to understand and meet company
data needs
 - Support team-internal adoption of new tools and processes
 - Contribute to audio, visual and text data collection, review and annotation
on an ongoing basis

Requirements:
 - 1+ year of experience programming/scripting with an interest or focus on
data collection tools and libraries
 - 1+ years of web development experience (any platform)
 - Excited by the idea of seeking out novel ways of generating new data and
diving out into the web to find data resources that help the company succeed
 - Excited by learning new skills related to data generation/collection that
keep up with evolving company needs and product directions
 - Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
 - Experience working with cross-functional groups
 - Excellent communication and organizational skills
 - Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field

Preferred:
 - One or more years industry experience
 - Experience with Docker
 - Experience with react/node.js
 - Comfortable using git from the command line
 - Familiarity with the field of speech recognition
