Description:

Washington University in St. Louis, Program in Linguistics and Department of
Classics-Assistant Professor. The Program in Linguistics and the Department of
Classics at Washington University in St. Louis invite applications for a
tenure track appointment in Computational Linguistics at the rank of Assistant
Professor to begin in the fall semester of 2021. The position is part of
Washington University’s broader initiative in Data Analytics and Digital
Technology:

We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in Ancient Greek,
Latin, or other languages of the ancient Mediterranean, but we will give full
consideration to candidates with other language specialties. We are also
particularly interested in applicants who can contribute to Washington
University’s Humanities Digital Workshop. A Ph.D. in Linguistics or other
relevant field is required at the time of appointment (July 1, 2021). Duties
will include teaching (four courses per year, 2 courses per semester),
conducting research, writing for publication, supervising student research,
and normal non-teaching departmental and university duties.

is closed; applications received by March 5, 2021, will receive full
consideration.
