Description:

DigiCLIL-Exchange is a sub-project at the Leuphana University Lüneburg within
the overriding project "Leuphana: Digital Transformation Lab for Teaching and
Learning" (DigiTaL). The project is funded by the Foundation for Innovation in
Higher Education. The DigiCLIL-Exchange project, under the direction of Prof.
Dr. Anne Barron, Dr. Nora Benitt, Prof. Dr. Torben Schmidt, deals with the
teaching of foreign language, intercultural and subject-related competences
for the preparation and support of study-relevant stays abroad in a blended
learning format. Further information on the sub-project can be found at:

Within the above-mentioned sub-project, two positions are available as of
01.11.2021, subject to funding approval, as Research Assistant (EG 13 TVL-L)
with 50% of the regular weekly working time of a full-time employee, limited
until 31.07.2024. Depending on the applicant situation and competence profile,
the positions can be combined with other positions of the overall project, if
necessary.

Your tasks:
- Conception, development and support of an international blended learning
CLIL programme for students in the field of foreign language, intercultural
and subject-related competences.
- Organisation of international university partnerships and global classrooms
- Conception, implementation and evaluation of an accompanying research
project on the development of intercultural communicative competences in
English as a foreign language
- Interdisciplinary exchange with other projects within the DigiTaL project 
- Collaboration in the preparation of interim and final reports

Your profile:
- Above-average university degree (Master's or equivalent) in the field of
Didactics of English/ English Linguistics/ Applied Linguistics or in a related
field.
- Completed doctorate in one of the aforementioned fields is an advantage
- Experience abroad (desirable)
- University didactic and practical expertise in digital teaching-learning
scenarios, tools and methods (e.g. blended learning formats, global
classrooms, learning platforms, production of videos, development of online
modules)
- Research experience in at least one of the following areas: educational
research, language teaching research, foreign language acquisition English,
intercultural communication, pragmatics, learner pragmatics, intercultural
pragmatics, stay abroad research, sustainability, computational linguistics,
computer-supported language learning
- Interdisciplinary and methodological work experience (desirable)
- Very good knowledge of English 
- German language skills (desirable)
- Flexibility in dealing with different disciplines and members of a
university
- Excellent communication skills, also in an international context
- Project management experience within or outside the university 
- Strong ability to think conceptually and analytically, ability to work
independently
- Committed and responsible approach to work
- Ability to work in a team, commitment and motivation
