Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce that the 9th International Conference on
Austroasiatic Linguistics (ICAAL9) will take place at the Centre for Languages
and Literature, Lund University, Sweden, 18-19 November 2021. Due to current
travel restrictions the conference will be held entirely online. 

The biennial conference brings together scholars working on all aspects of the
languages of the Austroasiatic family. We welcome contributions on any topic,
including but not limited to language documentation and description,
semantics, typology, language contact, and historical linguistics.


Call for Papers: 

The conference will take place on Zoom. Presentations will be 20 minutes long,
followed by 10 minutes for discussion. On the final day of the conference
Mathias Jenny and Paul Sidwell will host an open discussion on the state of
the field of Austroasiatic studies and future directions for research.

Abstracts should not exceed 300 words in length, excluding title and
references, and be submitted as a PDF. Please include the title of the paper,
presenter's name and affiliation in the body of the email.
