10th International Research Conference : Topical Issues of Linguistics and
Teaching Methods in Business and Professional Communication

Hosted by Foreign Languages Department, Faculty of Economics, RUDN University

The Organising Committee invites all interested specialists to the 10th
International Research and Practical Conference ‘Topical Issues of Linguistics
and Teaching Methods in Business and Professional Communication’. The
conference will be hosted by Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN
University) in Moscow on April 22-23, 2022.  

The main objective of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers,
teachers and professionals to exchange ideas, communicate and discuss research
findings and trends in linguistics, specialised translation, LSP and
professional communication. The conference will provide an opportunity for
both academics and practitioners to discuss relevant theoretical and practical
challenges.
 
Key topics: 
Conference agenda includes two plenary sessions and seven sections: 
1. Topical issues of teaching foreign languages for business communication.
2. Modern tendencies of professionally oriented foreign language teaching.
3. Integration of IT and e-coursebooks in the process of foreign language
teaching in non-linguistic higher educational institutions.
4. Specialised translation teaching strategies. 
5. Intercultural business communication. 
6. Important issues of modern applied linguistics:  
6a) Germanic languages (English and German);  
6b) Romance languages (French, Spanish, Italian);  
6c) Oriental languages (Chinese). 
7. LSP distance teaching.

The agenda also includes holding presentations, master classes, workshops and
round-table discussions. 


Call for Papers:  

Submission requirements: 
MS Word (Windows), Times New Roman 12, line spacing – 1,5, left indent – 2 cm,
right indent – 2 cm, space before and after – 2,5 cm. Abstract length – 1/2
pages. Indicate in the right upper corner of the abstract: author’s full name,
job position (boldface Times New Roman 12). Paper Title – justified in capital
letters (bold type Times New Roman 12). In-text quotations and references are
formatted according to APA formatting style. 
 
The deadline for paper submission is March 01, 2022. 

Time limits: 
Report at plenary sessions – 20 min. Report at a section meeting – 10 min.

Accommodation:
University campus, double or single rooms, a 10 minutes’ walk from the
University.
