Meeting Description:

This year the Poznan Linguistic Meeting is celebrating its 50th meeting.
Therefore CIPL, Comité International Permanent des Linguistes, contributes to
this joyful meeting by organizing two additional sessions. 

One of these sessions, organized in cooperation with the The European Chapter
of the Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL), will be devoted to
Language Technology. 

The ‘leitmotif’ of PLM50 is ''Linguistics matters: On the importance of the
study of language in the modern world.'' Therefore, the topic of this section
is “how language technology supports multilingualism and language variety in
the modern world”. 

Keynotes will be presented by: 
 - Bonnie Webber (Edinburgh), Language Technology supports characterizing
variety in language beyond the clause
 - Frieda Steurs (Ku Leuven and CIPL), Language Technology: the key to achieve
full digital language equality in the new multilingual and interconnected
world


Second Call for Papers: 

Abstracts for contributions are welcome.
