Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce that the 52nd Annual Meeting of the North East
Linguistic Society (NELS 52) will be hosted online from October 29 to October
31, 2021, and will be organized by Rutgers University.

Keynote speakers include:
- Enoch Aboh (University of Amsterdam)
- Lisa Cheng (Leiden University)
- Diane Lillo-Martin (University of Connecticut)
- Hazel Pearson (Queen Mary University of London)
- Sharon Rose (University of California San Diego)

In addition to the general session, we will have two special sessions: 
a) Anaphora and Coconstrual
b) Long-distance Dependencies in Phonology


Call for Papers: 

We invite abstract submission from all subfields of linguistics. The
submission deadline is June 20 at 23:59 Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5), and the
notification of decisions is expected by end of July/early August.

We invite abstract submission from all subfields of linguistics in four
categories:
- Regular main session
- Special session on Anaphora and Coconstrual
- Special session on Long-distance Dependencies in Phonology
- Poster session

Regular and special session talks will be 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes
for discussion. Poster presenters will be invited to give 5-minute lightning
talks for their poster before Q&A sessions in breakout rooms. Submissions to
the special sessions that are not chosen will be automatically considered for
the main session. Presentations may be given in English or ASL. (For
presentations in ASL, please contact the organizers upon acceptance to allow
time for the relevant accommodations.)
