Dear colleagues,

We are very glad to announce the birth of a new association: the International
Association for Teaching Pragmatics (ITAP).

ITAP is an international association whose main aim is to bring research and
teaching practices in pragmatics together. Our goal is to make pragmatics more
visible among researchers in applied linguistics, foreign and second language
teachers from regular schools, language schools, colleges and universities
around the world.

You can check out our website at https://www.ub.edu/itap-association/ and
become a member through the “Join Us” section. As you will see, membership is
free during 2021.

On June 3rd 2021, we will hold an online opening workshop in which different
scholars and teachers will share their ideas on the teaching of pragmatics
(please, find the program in the "events" section of the website). All ITAP
members are welcome to join us.

Finally, you may stay tuned to all news by following us on Twitter and
Instagram.

Looking forward to having you on board!

Best wishes,
The ITAP team
