Description:

To strengthen our teaching and research in the field of Philosophy of Language
we are looking for a new colleague. Specifically, we seek a colleague who will
teach courses on logic and argumentation (introductory) and on philosophy of
language (from B1 to Research Master's level, and in the Philosophy, Politics
and Society track). You will be expected to be able to develop new courses and
materials, if required. In addition, you will be involved in the supervision
of Bachelor's and Master's students. 

You will conduct research in one or more of the three fields, or at the
crossroads between them. Potential research topics include semantics,
pragmatics, and communication. You will submit the results for publication in
academic outlets, and disseminate the research findings at conferences and
workshops. You will also be requested to write grant applications. 

Your research will be part of the Center for Cognition, Culture and Language,
one of the research centres of the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and
Religious Studies. You will participate in its biweekly lunch seminars and
other activities. In addition, you will participate in management tasks,
including committee memberships, programme evaluations, search committees, and
recruitment activities.
