Subject: Trust and Communication: a Coronavirus Online Visual Dashboard (TRAC:COVID)

The Research and Development Unit (RDUES) at Birmingham City University is
happy to announce the release of the Trust and Communication: a Coronavirus
Online Visual Dashboard (TRAC:COVID), available at https://traccovid.com/.
Funded by the AHRC as part of UKRI’s Covid-19 funding, the project
investigates online conversation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic using
aggregated data sampled from Twitter (so individual tweets are not shown),
totalling 78 million tweets collected from the UK.

The dashboard combines Corpus Linguistic with data visualisations to allow the
interpretation of a large number of tweets. Frequent patterns of word and
hashtag use, word and hashtag combinations, change over time and the
proliferation of web links can be viewed in the dashboard. More information
about the project can be found here -
https://www.bcu.ac.uk/english/research/english-linguistics/rdues/research-proj
ects/trac-covid.

Please try the dashboard out, share the dashboard with your networks, and
follow the official project Twitter account for updates -
https://twitter.com/TracCovid.

Regards,

Rob Lawson (on behalf of the TRAC:COVID project team - Andrew Kehoe, Matt Gee,
Mark McGlashan, Selina Schmidt, and Tatiana Tkacukova)
