Subject: Tokyo College Language and Identity Lecture and Dialogue Series Beginning Nov. 8th

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that on November 8th, Tokyo College
(http://tc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) at the University of Tokyo will be commencing the
Language and Identity Lecture and Dialogue Series. The event consists of a
series of talks from a variety of scholars that explore the broader
interactions of language and identity in the context of the Japanese language.

Every day at 17:00 JST from November 8th through the 14th, a new talk in this
series will be available to view on the Tokyo College YouTube Channel
(http://youtube.com/c/TokyoCollege) in both English and Japanese. The Language
and Identity Series will then conclude with a live session on November 25th
wherein Tokyo College members involved in language research will discuss with
special guests from the series the past, present, and future of language and
identity research in Japan.

Please find the schedule of talks below, and we hope you will tune in to this
exciting event. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at
tokyo.college.event at tc.u-tokyo.ac.jp.

Sincerely,
Hannah Dahlberg-Dodd (Project Researcher, Tokyo College)
Maria Telegina (Postdoctoral Researcher, Tokyo College)
