Meeting Description: 

The Department of English Linguistics and Literature at Riphah International
University, Islamabad is hosting the International Conference on
Ecolinguistics and Ecological Narratives on March 10th (Thursday), 2022. This
conference provides a platform to scholars around the world to share their
insights and perspectives about emerging trends in Ecolinguistics research.
The goal of the conference is to: (a) achieve meaningful results that utilizes
people’s first language to better understand environmental problem and bring
them into the domain of solution- finding, (b), explore the stories and
theories of ecolinguistics which see humans not only as part of society, but
also as part of larger ecosystem, and (c). show how linguistics can contribute
to the creation of ecological civilizations and address key ecological issues.
We invite theoretical, methodological, empirical, and pedagogical
contributions in the follow areas:

Themes:

Ecosolidarity
Ecoliteracy
Ecolinguistic Policy and Planning
Ecopedagogy
Ecological Stories
