''Investigating the Effect of Listening Conditions on Speech
Intelligibility'', a special issue of the journal Languages.
Guest editors: Dr. Georgia Zellou and Dr. Anne Pycha

The goal of the Special Issue of Languages is to bring together work
investigating the effect of listening conditions on speech intelligibility.
Difficulty in perceiving speech in the presence of background noise has been
well attested in the literature, particularly for adults and children with
hearing impairment.

For further reading, please follow the link to the Special Issue Website at:

_of_Listening_Conditions_on_Speech_Intelligibility

The submission deadline for completed manuscripts is 01 March 2022. You may
send your manuscript now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not
be under consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to
send a short abstract or tentative title to the Editorial Office in advance
(languages at mdpi.com), preferably by 15 November 2022.

Languages is fully open access. Open access (unlimited and free access by
readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations, as
indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the authors and
their institutes. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of CHF 1200 currently
applies to all accepted papers.

For further details on the submission process, please see the instructions for
authors at the journal website:
https://www.mdpi.com/journal/languages/instructions
