Description:

The Linguistics program in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and
Linguistics at Syracuse University invites applications for a tenure-track
assistant professor of Linguistics. We seek candidates with a focus on one or
more Native American/Indigenous languages of North America, and research
interests in one or more of the following areas: syntax, morphology, and their
interfaces. Interest in pragmatics, information structure, together with
experimental methodologies highly desirable. Ph.D. in linguistics or related
field required in hand by August 2022. Information about the department may be

Responsibilities include maintaining an active program of research, teaching
and advising at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and service to the
university. The candidate will contribute to the curricula of the
interdisciplinary Linguistics Studies minor, BA, and MA degree programs (for

tudies/) and to the Native American and Indigenous Studies Program

dies-minor/). The candidate may also contribute to programs in Cognitive
Science

Neuroscience (https://thecollege.syr.edu/neuroscience/). 
The successful candidate will support the Department’s and College’s
