Call for Papers:

Scottish Language, the primary journal concerned with the languages of
Scotland, past and present, is looking for contributions for its 2023 volume.
Historically, articles have been largely concerned with Scots and Gaelic, but
we actively welcome papers on Latin, Pictish, British (Cumbric), Norn,
Scottish Standard English, BSL and languages of recent immigration.

Any or no theoretical models are welcome. We will consider articles on Ulster
Scots and comparisons between the languages of Scotland and languages spoken
elsewhere.

If you would like to discuss a contribution, please contact Professor Robert
McColl Millar on r.millar at abdn.ac.uk.
