Meeting Description:

Development of language technologies  is a big challenge in the 21st century.
It has a large scope extending beyond academia and becoming an integral part
of language policy.  Language Technologies are developed and used for small
number of languages. These includes for instance machine translation, speech
recognition (SR) systems, text-to-speech (TTS) synthesizers, interactive voice
response (IVR) systems, search engines, text editors and language instruction
materials; text analysers, lexicographic and terminology databases, etc. 

The main aim of the conference is to i) discuss the state-of-the-art and
innovative use of technologies for under-resourced languages; ii) bring
together the researchers working in these areas to share best practice and
experience  and iii) identify current needs and opportunities to provide
support for future development.


Call for Papers:

We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the International
conference: Languages in the Digital Age: Modern Technologies for
Under-resourced Languages. We welcome papers for talks on the development and
use of new and innovative technologies for under-resourced languages.

Main themes of the conference include but are not limited to: natural language
processing, corpus linguistics, computational and corpus lexicography,
databases, language documentation, etc.

Font: for Georgian text sylfaen, For English text Times New Roman
Abstracts will be received both in Georgian and English. Abstracts submitted
in Georgian should be accompanied by an English translation.
Format: PDF

Abstracts for talks should be mailed to: conferencesenadep at gmail.com

Abstracts for the conference will undergo peer-review.

The working languages of the conference are Georgian and English.

After the conference, selected papers will be published in the peer-reviewed
conference proceedings.
