Meeting Description:

The sixth Prairie Workshop on Languages and Linguistics (PWoLL 2022) will be
held in a hybrid form on June 8-9, 2022:  on June 8 the meeting will be held
in-person on the University of Saskatchewan campus in Saskatoon, and on June 9
it will be held remotely through a virtual (online) platform.

PWoLL is a biannual conference that brings together scholars at all levels
(undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and others) from the prairies and beyond
who conduct research on all facets of language and linguistics.

The PWoLL 2022 conference theme is “Linguistics, Languages and Communities”.
We welcome proposals of presentation abstracts on any topics related to
Linguistics, Applied Linguistics and language studies. (Call for papers
below).

Conference registration will be open on May 1. The registration is free.

Call for Papers:

The PWoLL 2022 conference theme is “Linguistics, Languages and Communities”.
We welcome proposals of presentation abstracts on any topics related to
Linguistics, Applied Linguistics and language studies. The abstracts for
presentations should be no longer than one page long, including data and
references, with 1-inch margins and 12-point font, single-spaced. The
presentations will be 20 minutes long with a 10-minute Q&A period following.
The number of abstracts for submission is limited to one abstract per person
as the first presenter, but the same person can be a co-presenter (2nd, 3rd,
etc. author) on more than one presentation. Abstracts should be submitted in
PDF format by April 20th on EasyChair:

Please include your name(s), contact e-mail(s), affiliation(s), and your
presentation title in your EasyChair submission. We also request that you
indicate your preference for an in-person or online presentation (or either).
Abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by the conference organizing committee
and acceptance notifications will be issued by April 30.
