Meeting Description: 

You will find below the program of the half-day workshop ‘Langues pas si
mortes: complementation in Latin and Ancient Greek', organized by the UMR 7023
'Structures formelle du langage' (CNRS and Paris 8 University) , which will
take place on May 18, 2022 in Paris. The language of the workshop will be
English.

Date: Thursday May 18, 2022
 
The session will take place at CNRS site at 61, rue de Pouchet, 75017 Paris
(‘’ salle de conférence) and it will be possible to follow it remotely. If you
want to follow long distance, please send an  e-mail to

2pm-3pm: The syntax of reported speech constructions and the pleonastic use of
speech verbs in Ancient Greek, Tatiana Nikitina (CNRS-LACITO)

Coffee break

3,15 pm- 4,15 pm: Prosodic weight, constituent order, and the structure of the
Latin clause,
Lieven Danckaert (CNRS - University of Lille, UMR 8163 STL)

4,30 pm -5,30 pm : Nominal complement clauses are multifaceted. A view from
the history of Greek, Richard Faure (Université Côte d'Azur, UMR 7320 BSL)

5,30 pm-6 pm : General discussion
