Description:

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role on the Artificial Intelligence
team at Accenture Labs in Dublin – part of a network of over 200 applied R&D
experts at seven locations worldwide. We incubate and prototype new ideas and
concepts that are expected to have a significant strategic near-term impact on
our clients’ businesses.
The Dublin Labs team focuses on Artificial Intelligence technologies applied
to Health and Life Sciences challenges. Our passion is imagining and
demonstrating the possibilities created by cutting edge AI tech.
 
Your role: 
As a research scientist, you will lead the key activities throughout your
projects:
 - spotting the opportunities created by breakthrough AI technologies, Large
Pre-trained Language Models more specifically, to transform business, the
workforce or consumer experience;
 - working closely with teammates and industry experts to design and implement
an approach that demonstrates the potential of your idea;
 - proving the real-world impact of your concepts through pilots with early
adopter clients.
 
About you: 
You are an expert in Natural Language Processing with hands-on expertise in
applying Large Pre-trained Language Models to Health and Life Sciences use
cases. You have technical excellence as demonstrated by your contributions and
love prototyping innovative solutions. You think differently and communicate
clearly. You can maximize the opportunities that working in a fast-paced,
highly collaborative and influential team offers you.

Qualifications:
 - PhD in computer science, engineering or a related scientific field;
 - prior experience working in Artificial Intelligence in a Health and Life
Sciences context;
 - hands-on experience applying large pre-trained language models (e.g.,
autoencoding models, autoregressive models, seq-to-seq models) to different
tasks for real world use cases (e.g., clinical notes summarization, disease
diagnosis, drug discovery, etc.);
 - hands-on experience in large pre-trained language models adaptation both
through model tuning and in-context learning;
 - development skills for prototyping your concepts (e.g. in Python, etc.);
 - a record of publications in relevant conferences and journals;
 - excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
 - prior experience in a research and development environment is preferred.
