Meeting Description:

Ben M'sik Linguistics Laboratory is pleased to announce the 11th Annual
Symposium for Linguistics Doctoral Students, on April 27th and 28th, 2023, at
the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, Ben M'sik, Casablanca. This
symposium is designed to offer doctoral students who are conducting research
in the areas of Linguistics an opportunity to present, reflect on and debate
their research concerns and receive constructive feedback and criticism in a
highly academic and professional environment. The symposium will also be a
golden opportunity to meet and network with other doctoral students who share
similar research interests, concerns, and aspirations.


Call for Papers:

The 11th Annual Symposium for Linguistics Doctoral Students
Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences Ben M'sik - Casablanca.
April 27th and 28th, 2022

The symposium is open to Moroccan and foreign linguistics Doctoral students to
present their papers on general and comparative linguistics. The symposium
gives importance to papers on Arabic language from a theoretical comparative
perspective on all linguistic levels (Phonetic, morphological, lexical,
semantic, syntactic, etc.). Papers on the contexts of using Arabic language
and its contact with other languages are also welcomed.

Some of the proposed strands include:
- Universal phenomena and typological aspects of the grammar of Arabic on all
linguistic levels (syntactic, morphological, phonetic, phonological, semantic,
lexical, etc.)
-  Comparative studies of Arabic .
-  Theoretical linguistics and its contribution in the teaching of the Arabic
language.
-  Language contact between Moroccan Arabic and Standard Arabic.
-  The contribution of the Arab grammarians on the modern linguistic research.
-  Evolvement of the theories dealing with language and linguistic issues in
general.
