Linguistic Field(s): Computational Linguistics; General Linguistics; Psycholinguistics; Semantics; Syntax

Call Deadline: 05-Mar-2022

Meeting Description:

The 4th annual SCOL (formerly known as BUSCTEL) will take place on May 27-28,
2022. All graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to send their
(work-in-progress) submissions!

SCOL is an annual conference that includes all aspects of linguistic research.
Once again, we hope to include presentations and posters by students from
other departments, as well as other universities, and to create an environment
in which students studying in similar fields at different universities can
exchange ideas and experiences. SCOL'20 drew more than 150 participants, 15
speakers, and 55 paper submissions from 9 different faculties from Turkey,
Russia, USA, Cyprus, and Czechia.

Keynote speakers:

Pavel Caha
Seçkin Arslan

Although we are planning on holding the conference face-to-face, we can switch
to an online event according to the situation regarding the pandemic.

Our website is: https://bounling.netlify.app/scol22/

All questions and comments should be addressed to: scol at boun.edu.tr

2nd Call For Papers:

Submissions are open for 30 minute talks (20 minute talk + 10 minutes for
discussion) and posters. All graduate and undergraduate students are welcome
to sent their submissions via our easychair portal:
https://easychair.org/cfp/scol22.

Deadline for Submission: March 5, 2022
Notification of Acceptance: March 24, 2022
Publication of provisional program: April 18, 2022

Abstract guidelines

Abstracts should contain original research that, at the time of submission,
has neither been published nor accepted for publication. It may be presented
in other conferences. Please bear in mind that a good abstract may, but need
not contain a fully worked out solution. One person can submit at most two
abstracts only one of which can be single-authored. Abstracts must be
submitted electronically in PDF format. Submissions should be anonymous and
not reveal the identity of the author(s) in any form (e.g., references, file
name or properties of the abstract). Abstracts must not exceed two pages in
letter-size or A4 paper, including examples and references, with 2.5 cm (or 1
inch) margins on all sides and 11 point font size.

Abstract, talks, and posters must be in English.

All questions and comments should be addressed to scol at boun.edu.tr.
