Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf
invites applications for two Lecturers in semantics and pragmatics to begin
February 1, 2022. 

A secondary specialization in one or more of the related fields (philosophy of
language, syntax, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, or another
area of cognitive science) as well as experience with empirical and
experimental methods and and statistical data analysis is desirable. 

The successful candidate will conduct research in the domain of semantics and
pragmatics and related research areas, participate in the preparation of grant
proposals, and teach a limited number of classes in semantics, pragmatics and
logic at the BA, MA and PhD levels. A good command of German is desirable but
not essential.

The start date is February 1, 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter, and the
initial appointment is for one year (with the possibility of extension).
Salary is on the German scale TV-L E13, %100. 

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree (or an equivalent degree) by the
