Guest editors: Dr. Oksana L. Zavalina, and Dr. Shobhana L. Chelliah

The Electronic Library is currently accepting submissions for a special issue
on “Digital Language Archives.”

The special issue aims to provide the first publication that focuses on
various aspects of digital language archives theory and practice, history and
directions. This Special Issue will explore a broad scope of issues related to
digital language archives -- digital libraries that preserve and provide
online access to language data. The aims will be met through attracting
submissions of researchers (information scientists and linguists) and
information professionals who work on digital language archives issues.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- societal/political/legislative/economic factors affecting digital language
archives (DLA);
- administrative structures and partnerships of DLA;
- collection development in DLA;
- information architecture, organization, and retrieval in DLA;
- quality assurance in DLA;
- usability and user experiences in DLA;
- theory and history of DLA;
- evaluations (cases studies and comparative analyses) of DLA
- education initiatives to support DLA development

Submission deadline:
